Sterling silver

This is a lovely solid octagonal Art Deco napkin ring hallmarked to London 1923. It is made by WFW. The napkin ring weighs a staggering 65 gms which is over 2 oz, nearing 2.5 oz. The napkin ring is in excellent condition.

A lovely carved HMSS napkin ring hallmarked to Chester 1898 and made by CL&S. The napkin rin weighs 17.5 gms and is in excellent condition.

A lovely beaten sterling silver napkin ring, hallmarked to Birmingham 1910 and made by WD. In excellent condition.

These were originally 2 sterling silver napkin rings (you can just make out that they were hallmarked...see photo) which have been coated in rhodium. Sounds bad until you realise that silver is valued at about costs about $18 an ounce, whereas rhodium is valued at about $5,500 an oz (gold is only $830 an oz). Rhodium is an exceedingly shiny metal that does not tarnish.

This is a lovely sterling silver trophy cup, inscibed to F.G. BUSH, hallmarked to Birmingham 1922, made by GWA, weighing 98 gms (3.5 oz), in excellent condition. the trophy comes with its original wooden plinth. With its plinth the trophy stands about 13 cms tall.

A heavy Japanese silver cigarette case depicting Mt Fuji on the front. the inside is marked with two Japanese symbols and the word SILVER. The case is in very good condition, but it is a little tricky to open, and onew of the cigarette holders has come off. It weighs about 150 gms which is about 5-6 oz, staggering to use so mush silver for a cigarette case. The case is approximately 10.5 x 8 x 1 cms.
